NYE Outfit Ideas with FemmeLuxe + Makeup Look. | 12 Days of Christmas

Hey, hey, hey, good morning, happy Friday and happy Christmas Eve; eekkk, one of my favourite days of the whole year and it’s finally here!! For today’s post, I will be sharing a try on haul of the potential NYE outfits I picked up and they have all been kindly gifted to me by FemmeLuxe. From the potential outfits, where you can buy them, the kinda shoes I’d wear and the makeup looks I can see myself rocking with these outfits, I have covered all bases in this post! It may even be able to give you some inspo when it comes to you guys picking your outfits, if you haven’t already. I also thought I would include a NYE Full Glam Makeup Look to hopefully spark some inspo for that too.

Outfit 1:

The first outfit is the Lime & Chocolate Marble Print Slinky Halter Neck Dress. I’ve had my eye on dresses like this for a while now and I’ve finally found a colour palette that I really like in this style. Until recently, I wasn’t really a fan of the cowl neck on me but really wanted it to suit me as they always look really good on others. But I recently found a cowl neck top that I love and I decided to give them another go. This one fits really nicely, doesn’t feel like everything’s going to fall out with one wrong move. Although, I personally prefer to wear a bra with cowl neck clothes but, as this does have good support, I wouldn’t say it’s needed. It feels super sturdy on, a little more sturdy because I decide to wear a bra under things like this. It’s really comfortable on and sits at a good mid thigh length, without the feeling that it’s going to ride up. It has a tie on the left side of the skirt but it doesn’t shorten or tighten the ruche, it’s just for look and looks really nice in a bow.

For this outfit, I’d pair it with some Perspex heels or cute sock boots and a maxi coat to keep warm! The makeup look I’d do is a Smokey eye with a bright green/ lime cut crease, some fairly short, but thick lashes and a dark brown, glossy lip. And, if I could rock it, a slick back pony.

Outfit 2:

Next up is this Wine Slinky Bardot Dress. It can be worn either off the shoulder or pulled up; which is the one I prefer anyway but mainly because its a bit big for me so could be a lil risky to wear it off the shoulder. Its a good length when you first put it on but it quickly rides up quite a bit. Because of this I don’t feel as if I would be comfortable in this, as I’d be constantly pulling it down. Being a bodycon dress, it’s super figure hugging, really soft and actually really good quality for the price. It’s such a lovely dress though, it’s a shame the fit isn’t the best.

This outfit would go perfectly with a black Smokey eye with a pop of gold, dramatic lashes and lots and lots of highlight. I’d add a classic red lip, like MAC’s Ruby Woo and have a really bronzy, glowy base. To finish off the look, for the hair I would do some loose curls with lots of volume and leave it down; maybe with a bit of a quiff too.

Outfit 3:

The last outfit option I picked up was this stunning Royal Blue Halterneck Cut Out mini dress. As much as this dress is unlike anything else I would normally wear, I think it’s my favourite. This fits really well, it’s figure hugging and I love the halter neck with the cut out. It’s quite supportive so you wouldn’t need to wear a bra with it. This dress is gorgeous, it’s super soft and really comfortable; I’m not 100% sure about the blue yet, but I think this could be the one for NYE. It’s a little bit longer than I thought it would be, but because of the ruching, you can easily shorten it without it being noticeable.

With this stunning blue dress, I would keep the make up fairly neutral, but still add a little blue to the eyes, to tie the look together. I’d do a bronzy eye with a pale blue shimmer on the lid and some blue liner in the waterline. For the lip, I’d keep it super simple with a matte nude lip, something like MACs Velvet Teddy or the NYX Soft Mayte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi. I’d then finish this look with a half up, half down. I love a half up, half down hair so as it keeps the hair out of your faces, but it still feels as though it’s down; so it’s like best of boat worlds.

Moving on to the makeup now and this time I went all out; the lashes, the sparkle, the bright lip, the LOT.  I went for a lightweight bronzey, glowy base with no highlight for a change, natural brows and a dark smokey, sparkly eye with some dramatic lashes. I decided to completely skip out highlight this time and just use a glowy blush because that’s always been my absolute staple and it doesn’t look so OTT with the sparkles and lip. For the eyes, I decided to whip out the Bh Cosmetics Eye Palette for the first time, even though I bought it in last years Black Friday sale, but the colour story looked perfect for this kinda glam, NYE look.

From the palette, I took Bow into the crease and slowly deepened the crease with Cookie. I find black such a nerve racking colour to use as you can either make or break a look within seconds, so I lightly took Winter into the outer third whilst continuing to blend with Bow until seamless. For the lower lash line, I used Jolly which is a dark red but has a little bit of sparkle in it too and it’s such a gorgeous shadow. I’m already thinking of other looks I can create with it.  I then used this gorgeous iridescent Peaches + Cream Loose Eyeshadow in Mermaze, which I was kindly gifted by my Blogger friend Ellie, and it’s absolutely gorgeous; finished the eye look off nicely. I thought I would go for some lashes this time as I usually just skip them out due to not being able to apply them very well, so I used the Lav Me Baby ones by Lash Pop. I love the packaging too which is partly the reason to why I bought them haha! I honestly just reach for any mascara I have on the go and that happened to be the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I have actually written a full review on this mascara already which you can find here.

For the lips I decided to go for a bit of a different colour, forget the nudes, forget the red lip, let’s go bright for NYE. I even by passed the lip liner, which is so unlike me, and went straight into the lip; could’ve been a risky move, but these Retro Matte Lipsticks from MAC seems to stay in place, no danger. I used this gorgeous pinky, purple colour called Flat Out Fabulous (what a name btw). I love how creamy this one is, compared to a lot of other matte lipsticks, but it stays in places for ages, even with eating and drinking, and its super pigmented, no lip liner even needed to make it more opaque. MAC has it’s popular, raved about lipsticks but I think this one deserves more recognition; it’s gorgeous and makes your eyes POP.

And voila, here we have the final look. I’m so pleasantly surprised with this palette and how good quality the eye shadows actually are. They’re smooth, really easy to blend and have good colour pay off too. I don’t think I’ve tried any of Bh Cosmetics before (if I have it’d be a long time ago) and I’m so pleased with this, I’ll deffo be trying something else from them soon!

I LOVE this makeup look you created. It suits you so much! All of the outfits look great on you, but I think that marble lime and chocolate dress is my fave. I tend not to like dresses that are really bright or have quite a loud pattern, but this one has surprised me, as I really like it. I might have to do a Femme luxe haul x
