My Goals for 2022. | 12 Days of Christmas

Hey there and welcome to post 9 of my 12 Days of Christmas series. I can’t quite believe how quickly this month is going, time doesn’t even feel real at the moment but the big day is only a week away. For today’s post, I will be sharing my goals for 2022 because I always make some sort of goals list to start the year and you all seemed to enjoy last years goals post so I thought I’d share this years one too.

Start Horse-riding:

My first goal for next year is to start horse riding lessons. This was actually supposed to be a goal for this year, but it just didn’t end up happening because of the lockdown and starting a new job etc. I did a little bit of Horse riding when I was younger but I ended up being quite scared and now I want to get back into it and start learning again. Aside from blogging, I don’t feel like I have any hobbies at the moment as I find I lose interest in things quite quickly or I’ve grown out of my other hobbies I had when I was younger, so hopefully I’ll enjoy this and it’ll be something I want to keep up with going forward.

Be Ready to Move Out:

I must look on rightmove every other at least for apartments and houses for the very, very distant future, but I am hoping to be in the position to start properly looking at places and seeing what I can afford, at some point next year. I have no idea what my plans will be whether I’ll want to do some more travelling, go and live in the city for a period of time, train in a new skill or settle down in a ‘big girl’ job haha, so I’m not sure whether I’ll actually buy next year, but as long as I’m in the position to, I’ll be happy; we will see what the year holds.

Go On Some UK Staycations:

I’ve only ever been on a few staycations in my life but I really do think the travel restrictions have made me, and probably a lot of other people, appreciate the beautiful places we have on our doorstep a whole lot more. There are so many places I’d like to visit including Edinburgh, Liverpool, the Lake District, go back to Cornwall and lots more too. What I love about staycations is, even when working full time, you can head of for a weekend or some places even just for the day and not have to use any of your holiday. I’m hoping no more lockdowns are to come and I’ll be able to do some of these next year.

Go On More Solo Trips:

One of my goals on my list for this year was to solo travel and I’m so pleased that I managed to bite the bullet and go and do it. I went to Madrid on my own back in September and I was actually meant to solo travel for a while, but as I was ill when I was away, it didn’t quite go to plan. Although I was nervous, I did really enjoy my time away and I feel like it really has boosted my confidence in so many ways. If you’re looking into doing a solo trip and you’re a little nervous, I really recommend doing it. As long as you do your research on the place you’re going and you keep your wits about you, you’ll be fine and I’m sure you’ll have the best time.
In 2022, I would love to do more solo trips. Whether that be in the UK, so I could kill two birds with one stone, or if I got somewhere new and tick another place off of my bucket list.

Find my love for Blogging again:

In January, I will have been blogging for nearly 5 years!!! I honestly cannot believe it; it feels like only yesterday 17 year old me randomly decided to make a blog on an evening after college when she should’ve been doing coursework oops😬. Every 6 or so months I do find I struggle for inspiration or ideas for posts but I always end up finding my love for it again. However, this year I’ve really been trying to live in the moment and outside of work I’ve been out with friends and family and just enjoying myself that I haven’t uploaded half as much as I would’ve liked to. To be fair, doing 12 days of Christmas has definitely helped me to start getting into writing again but maybe I need to find a new direction with it for next year. After 5 years, it does feel like I’ve done every blog post under the sun, especially beauty related, that I find I do a lot of ‘updated’ posts and I’m hoping I can find a new topic or series to start to take my blog in a new direction.

Did you achieve your goals for this year? What are your goals for 2022?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I hope you enjoyed hearing about my goals for next year and maybe it even gave you some inspo for you goals list. I’m really looking forward to starting the new year, I hope it has a bit of a brighter start to this one. See you in a couple of days with a new post!!
