Charlotte Tilbury Haul, First Impressions & Discount Code. | Blogtober

Hey there and welcome to Blogtober Day 12, I hope you all had a great weekend whatever it is you did. Now, you’re probably thinking ‘aren’t you supposed to be doing a no spend month?’ and you’d be right, I actually made this haul a while ago and was lucky enough to receive some products and a gift voucher for my birthday and I wanted to share a bit of a first impressions with you all too; hence why I’m just bringing this post to you now! Soo, let’s see what I picked up from Charlotte Tilbury.

Let’s start off with skincare because CT has one particular product that I’ve never heard so much hype about and that is Charlotte’s Magic Cream. I have had this moisturiser in my mental wish list for a number of years now and I was kindly gifted it for my birthday. I cannot tell you how excited I was to get my hands on it. This travel size pot retails at £25, the medium pot is £49 and the full size put is £75. Considering the price, the fact that one pot sells every 2 minutes and that it’s one of the most popular products around the globe, you could say I had high hopes for it. I have just finished the 15ml pot which I used morning and night for around a month as a little does go along way. From my experience my skin did feel very supple, hydrated and had a healthy glow about it; I could see these results in a matter of days! I have used serums and oils along with my moisturisers for years now but this cream has all the ingredients you need just to use it with an eye cream of your choice. (CT does have their Magic Eye Cream which I am yet to try out). I am so pleased with this little pot of magic and will be sure to repurchase and continue to use; cannot recommend enough!

Now, I can’t put my results entirely down to the Magic Cream because I also received a couple of other products for my birthday, one being the Multi Miracle Glow which is a 3-in-1 product that can be used as a Cleanser, a Mask and a Balm. I have been using this once, sometimes twice, a week using it as an overnight treatment. I apply this over the Magic Cream and my eye cream and leave it to do it’s job overnight. I then wake up and rinse it off whilst doing my skincare routine and then apply the Magic Cream again ready for the day. Having used ESPA products before, it definitely reminds me of the Overnight Hydration Therapy; it makes my skin feel super soft and I’ve never had such a glow about my skin.

The last mini skincare item in this haul is the Goddess Skin Clay Mask and I haven’t actually got around to using this yet because I’ve been using the Balm as an overnight mask. Face masks aren’t something I really sit down and do all that often so I really need to make more time for them. I will get round to using this and if I do like it you’ll be sure to hear all about my thoughts in a future post. If you’re thinking about trying some of the CT skincare products, I would highly recommend picking up one of their little skincare sets, so you can try a few products out over the course of a month or so and then see what you think, without spending lots of money on the full sized products and then maybe not being over the moon with them or seeing the same results as the products you’re already using. Psst, also check the end of the post for a £20 off discount code.

Now, moving on to the makeup we have the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder; another one of the most popular products from the brand. I’d previously heard lots of good things about this powder and so many people had been purchasing around the time I was looking into what to get with my voucher but for the price (£35) it made me question whether it would be worth it. After thinking about it, I did decide to go for it as I had a gift voucher anyway and I also had a £20 off code too so it was the perfect time to give it a try really. I decided to pick up the shade 01 Fair as it was the closest to my skin tone and closest to a translucent powder also. Not only does this powder set my cream and liquid products, it smooths and blurs the pores, AND it also has Rose Wax and Almond Oil which works to keep the skin hydrated whilst wearing it but with no oiliness too. I’ve not been this impressed with a powder since the Laura Mercier Loose Powder. Admittedly, due to the price, this won’t be a product I’ll add to my everyday makeup routine, but as and when I want my makeup to be camera ready, without any flashback, or when I’m going full glam I’ll definitely reach for this.

I asked around my friends and other Bloggers what they would recommend me trying out from Charlotte Tilbury and every single one of them said the eye shadow palettes. I had a look through and honestly I didn’t see many that I would necessarily use or would be worth the money. They had a range of quads which all looked like lovely shade palettes don’t get me wrong, but they were either too neutral, that I didn’t need any more of in my collection or too dark and vampy, which I don’t wear. But when I stumbled upon the Easy Eye Palette, I fell in love; it’s like I’ve found myself in eye shadow form l o l. It has 6 shades, 3 mattes and 3 shimmers and it’s the perfect day to night palette. This palette is particularly fitting for the time of year because Autumn to me SCREAMS warm tones, smokey eyes. I have especially been loving the pinky shimmer shadow and using it all over the lid as some quick ‘n’ easy glam; it looks so good and makes my eyes POP.

I have recently got back into using liquid eyeliner again and when I’m not wearing it my eyes look quite bare. Black pencil liners seem to look to harsh on me for my liking, so I decided to try out a brown one so I picked up The Classic Eye Powder Pencil in Brown. I’ve found a lot of pencil liners to be quite scratchy when putting on, whether it’s just on the lid or in the water line, however this one is really smooth, glides on really nicely with a decent amount of pigment and it actually lasts without wiping off from the moisture of the eye (I hope that makes sense). Although I hadn’t heard anything about the CT eye liners, I’m very pleased and would really recommend them to you.

Another iconic product from the brand is the Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick and you know me and nude lipsticks basically go hand in hand at this point. I picked up the original one, which is the lightest nude with a slight pink toned to it. I know you’re probably thinking ‘does she really need ANOTHER matte nude lipstick in her collection?’ and my answer to that it ‘YES Duh!!’ because although I have the best part of 100 in my collection, most of which I’ve probably used once, I still somehow find an excuse to need another one and here we are. This one is really nice and creamy and looks amazing paired with different liners and lip toppers. A few of the ways I’ve been wearing this include with a Berry lip liner, with a very light nude lip in the centre for the ombre effect and finally with the Fenty Gloss in Fu$$y on top; I’m obsessed.

I did also receive a few free samples as well so I thought I would share those with you too. First up we have a sachet of the YSL Pure Shots Night Reboot Serum that I only actually got one use out of so can’t make much of a comment on, however (as far as I can remember) I hadn’t tried any products from YSL before and it smelt really good and sunk into the skin nicely without sitting on top of the skin. Next up is the Brightening Youth Glow which is a primer that, when I actually remember to put primer on, I’ve been using in recent weeks and I cannot tell you how much of a luminous glow it gives the skin whilst also blurring pores (something I really look for in a primer). I will continue to use this to make a full judgement on whether I’ll repurchase, but so far so good!

Next up is the Mini Hot Lips 2 Lipstick in the shade Glowing Jen and it comes in this cute leopard print packaging. It’s a beautiful pinky nude, with a really creamy and hydrating finish. The CT website shows this lipstick on a number of different skin tones and it suits everyone so well, which is very hard for a lip shade to do. This lipstick was made as an empowering collaboration with Women for Women International to for the #LIPSTICKCONFIDENCE campaign and change lives with a £1 million pledge of Hot Lips lipstick sales to the charity and their work to help women survivors of war to rebuild their lives; which I think is such a great campaign and charity to get behind and support.

The last item from my splurge is the Liquid Lipstick in the shade Show Girl which is a deep pinky, almost berry colour with a matte finish and it’s just the perfect shade for this time of year. I’m pretty sure this is a deluxe mini size lipstick, but it’s a really decent size and can imagine it’ll last me a while. I’ve only used this once so far but it has a nice creamy finish, so it doesn’t dry out the lips and really reminds me of the Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lips.
