L’Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water | My Thoughts!

For today’s post, I wanted to share with you one of my all time favourite moisturisers. I started using the L’Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water almost a year ago now and I was never without it but after finishing the bottle, I decided to try some new products out and didn’t go back. Recently, I decided to pick it up again and I had forgotten just how much I loved it so I thought I would share my thoughts with you all.

Water and Gel moisturizers have always been a winner for me, especially during the warmer months as they aren’t as heavy on the skin as some of the cream ones are. This L’Oreal Hydra Genius does not disappoint as it’s super light weight so it won’t clog your pores, it sinks into the skin quickly which makes it perfect to apply prior to makeup. The Aloe extract in it makes it smell great in my opinion, although some people may not like the scent, I think that it makes it really refreshing … which again is perfect for summer.

I really like moisturizers that have Aloe in them as Aloe works to reduce inflammation and it works well to heal lots of skin problems like Acne, which helps me out a lot. As well Aloe extract, this moisturizer also has Hyaluronic Acid in it, which is also really good for the skin as it helps to keep the skin hydrated as it’s said to lock-in moisture for up to 72 hours, it’s perfect for fighting against wrinkles and ageing and also it’s said to keep the skin plump.

This moisturizer is perfect for a number of different skin types as they have Dry and Sensitive, Dry and Normal and Combination and Normal. It retails for just £9.99 for 70 ml of product which I think is really good and well worth the money, but it is currently in the sale at Boots for just £6.66 (click here) so I would recommend to get on this asap!

The only downside to this moisturizer, for me, is that it doesn’t have any SPF in it and as I’m so cautious about ageing, I like to wear SPF 50 every single day, however, as this sinks right into the skin it doesn’t cause the two products to separate and crumble like some other cream moisturizers do, so this doesn’t make too much of an issue.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed it. You can find my previous post here and I will see you in a new post soon.
