November Favourites. | Blogmas

HEY HEY HEY, it’s Blogmas time yet again. After successfully completing Blogtober again this year, I thought I would take part in Blogmas to finish the year on a high when it comes to my Blog. I can’t quite believe that I’m sitting down to write the first of many festive posts already; this year has just flown by. I have so many posts coming your way on the countdown to Christmas, I hope you’re as excited as me. To kick off this months festivities, I am starting with a good ol’ favourites post for the month of November. So, let’s see what made the cut.

Due to being in lock down for most of this month, I’ve hardly been wearing makeup so there’s no makeup favourites to share with you this time, but there’s still a few when it comes to beauty. First up we have the CND Shellac nail polish in Berry Boudoir which is gorgeous deep purple. This polish has been a favourite of mine for quite a while now and it’s one I get quite often at the salon, but this month I decided to purchase it myself so I could do them myself throughout lock down. I have been wearing this since the start of lock down and will last a good 4-6 weeks without chipping. I’m so glad I have this in my nail polish collection now; I can really see myself becoming obsessed with it again.

I’ve really been trying to using more environmentally friendly products and Lush is all about that so, back in October, I decided to pick up a few new products to try out (check out my A/W Lush Haul) and one of them was the Aromaco Naked Deodorant. I get really sensitive skin so most deodorants and fragrant products bring me out in a rash, but this one hasn’t caused any. Not only does it smell amazing, it doesn’t cause stains on my clothes and I’m not allergic to it. This is definitely a winner with me, although it is a little bit more pricey that your regular deodorants with it retailing at £6.50 /100g , I can see it lasting a good while. I’m definitely going to try out more of their solid deodorants and even their powder ones too!

I have stuck to the same everyday perfume since I was about 14/15, which is the Samantha Faiers La Belle if anyone wanted to know, but I’d heard so many things about Lush’s perfumes and body sprays that I wanted to try some out. I did end up picking up two solid perfumes which were the American Cream Perfume and the Karma Perfume. After trying Karma, which I wasn’t much of a fan of, I wasn’t sure about American Cream but once I tried it; LET ME TELL YOU this scent is a frickin’ dream! I’m awful at describing scents but it’s pretty much a sweet strawberry marshmallow – UGH incredible. It’s a perfect year round scent that’s strong but not overpowering and doesn’t wear off after an hour or so like many other perfumes do. I hadn’t tried any solid perfumes before this but I’m completely sold and will be trying more out in my next lush haul.

I have been using the L’Oreal No Hair Cut Cream on and off for years now but due to not being able to get my hair done until god knows when, I’ve started using it again recently to help save my ends until I can get back in the salon. It helps me so much when brushing my hair through after washing it; it’s needed because let me tell you, it’s a task and a half. My hairs feeling super soft at the moment and it looks in really good condition – split ends who?! I absolutely swear by L’Oreal hair products and this is no exception. Highly recommend.

My last favourite for this month is the Revolution Overnight Targeted Blemish Lotion which basically the same as the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. The maskne has been REAL these last few months and after trying lots of different targeted treatments like face masks and sudocrem etc. I thought it was about time I go back to a trusty drying lotion. No matter how bad people say this type of product is for you skin, it works absolute wonders and I swear by it. It’s not something I use regularly but every now and then when I get a big old spot, or I’m going out somewhere (unheard of in 2020) that I need my skin to look good, it’s always there for a quick fix. You just pop it directly onto the spot, go to sleep and you’ll wake up in the morning with it either completely gone or on it’s way out; depending on what it was like to begin with. I highly recommend trying it out if you’re struggling with maskne too!

And those were my stand out products for November; what products have you been loving this month? It was a little bit different for me to not include at least one makeup favourite in this post but I can guarantee that next months faves will be packed full of makeup goodness due to Christmas being the best time to slap on some glitter, a bright red lip and go to town on the eye liner. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed it and I’ll see you tomorrow at 7:30pm UK time with a new one.

Oh Luci I just wrote the biggest comment reading your post and my bloody iPhone swiped right and went back! Flipping iPhones! Haha.

Nevertheless, that LUSH perfume sounds incredible! Never would have thought their solid perfumes would be long lasting so I’m intrigued to have a look at them now. Also love that you’ve had your signature scent for so long. I’m still on the hunt for my vegan one but my all time “Ellie in a perfume” is Estée Lauder Beautiful. I’m thinking of starting a petition to make them make it cruelty free and vegan, haha!

Also, got a sample of The Body Shop Tea Tree Targeted gel I think from The Body Shop event and I’ve sworn by it for doing exactly what the drying lotions do. Dries out a peeping spot and calms it in no time! Definitely one I’d recommend trying if you looking for something more skincare focused and maybe a more natural?

Now, to catch up on your blogmas! 😀
