February Favourites ’21.

Hiiya , how are we all? We’re already into March, we’re getting closer and closer to better times and freedom, hang in there lovelies. Now that it’s a new month, it means it’s time for a month favourites post for February. I’ve been slacking on these over the past year or so as I used to do them every month without fail, but I’m bringing them back as I love reading them and I love sharing my faves too. So let’s see what products I reached for many times throughout February.

My first favourite for February is the KVD True Portrait Foundation which I have in the shade 008 light. I picked this up in a recent boots haul, mainly because it was in the sale but I thought I’d give it a try. This is my first KVD product I’ve tried and I’m actually so impressed. The consistency of this foundation is like a serum, it just melts into the skin and at first I thought it wasn’t really doing anything, but after I’d finished blending, it made my skin look really glowy and like a second skin. I did have to bake on the more oily areas of my skin and it did cling a little bit to some of my dry patches but the finished base looked great. It lasts through the day, even on the slightly warmer days we’ve had this past week or so me I’m hoping it’ll be a good performer when the real heat comes this summer. It’s currently on sale at boots for half price, so if you’re interested in trying this out I would highly recommend doing so whilst you can save yourself some money.

I’ve recently been getting into wearing glosses more than matte lipsticks and I’ve been wanting to grow my collection of them. I decided to pick up the NYX #thisiseverything Lip Oil as I hadn’t tried a lip oil before but I’m obsessed with the formula. It’s so creamy, isn’t sticky and a little goes a long way so you don’t get that thick gloss. It has an ever so slight pink tint which looks really nice on its own or I have been adding a lip liner underneath and it looks even better. If you’re someone who wears a gloss or lip balm with and without makeup then I would highly recommend this one as it looks great either way.

Next up we have the Antipodes Skin-Plumping Serum which I got from LookFantastic. I was looking for a good plumping serum as they’re really good for keeping skin youthful and staying hydrated too. This one sinks into the skin quite quickly, it has contributed to rescuing my skin from the dryness I had in early February when it was really cold. I pop this on before I go to bed and I wake up with my skin feeling really smooth and hydrated but with a fresh glow too! I think it’ll take some time to see results for the anti-ageing/ fine lines side of things but for now I’m actually really pleased with this product.

My last favourite for this month is the Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream. I received this in the LookFantastic Advent Calendar but had so many other skincare products on the go at the time that I only started using it this past month. I’ve always used lots of products on my skin when doing my night time routine but since using this my skin feels hydrated enough with just this cream, an eye gel and a little bit of facial oil. It has a thick gel consistency which applies really nicely, a little goes a long way and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or cakey like I find some thicker creams can.
