A Mini I Heart Revolution Makeup Haul.

Hey there, happy Sunday and welcome back to a new post on my blog where I’ll be sharing a little I Heart Revolution haul with you all. It’s been so long since I’ve written a makeup haul, more specifically a revolution haul, so I thought it was about time I did another one. I’ve had a few of these items on my wish list for a while, so I thought I’d spice up my makeup collection and get myself excited to create looks again with some new products. Let’s see what I picked up in this haul.

The first product I picked up was the Peach Loose Powder which I’ve seen countless amounts of bloggers and YouTubers talk about recently. I do have my Laura Mercier powder which is my go-to and ultimate favourite setting powder but I thought I would try a different one and switch things up a bit. I would actually say this is a great dupe for the Laura Mercier one as it’s pretty much bang on, aside from the more peachy tone to it. It’s really smooth, didn’t seem to cling to my dry patches (which I have really been struggling with since the colder weathers come in) and it feels super smooth on the skin.

Next up we have the products that were to blame for this haul and that’s the Heart Breakers Concealers which have been on my wish-list for a while now. I picked up this concealer in 3 shades, Buttermilk, Custard and Toffee so I can conceal, highlight and bronze/contour too! I’ve only used these once but I’ve got to say that, although the applicators are cute, they don’t apply the concealer well at all. They are quite rough which just scraps the product away rather than applies it to the skin. However, once you build it up a little it blends really nicely and looks great after it’s set. It does also sit in lines a little bit so I would recommend baking every time you use. I’m hoping I have a better experience next time I use these as they didn’t quite live up to my expectations; which is unheard of when it comes to Revolution products. I must say though, that it is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, so you do get a decent amount for your money. If you’re looking for a good concealer I would highly recommend the concealer & define or conceal & hydrate both also from Revolution.

For someone who doesn’t really wear blush that much, I have quite a few in my collection so you could say this was quite an unnecessary purchase, but as it was on 3 for 2 that was all of an excuse I needed. I picked up the Fruity Blush in Strawberry mainly because it looked cute, but I also have the Banana Highlighter from this collection which I reach for so much, so I knew this would be the same quality. I love the mix of colours because you can use the darker pink, the lighter shimmery pink or mix them together for a lovely rosy glow. I’ll definitely be getting some use out of this throughout the spring and summer; we all know how much I reach for these type of blushes when the suns out.

Last, but not least, I picked up the Mint Chocolate Chip Primer because I haven’t tried many revolution primers in the past and I thought it was about time. I was looking at the Strawberry Whip Primer but I decided to go for the mint one as it corrects redness which I’m very much in need of at the moment. I didn’t actually think it would, but it does smell of mint choc chip ever so slightly. This did make my skin feel really smooth but it did also stick to dry patches and blemishes causing it to crumble; this could also have been a bad mix with the moisturiser I was using so I’m going to give it another try. If you have normal or oily skin, I think this may work better for you than it did for me as I have combination skin and on the more dry areas it was a no go.
