November Beauty Favourites ’25. | Blogmas

It’s Decemberrrrr and the start of arguably the best month of the year. The weathers got colder, the Christmas menus are out at all our fave restaurants and coffee shops and the Christmas adverts are out in full force. Soo, grab a blanket, light a candle and get comfy for my first Blogmas post of the year.

It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’m back just in time for Blogmas; well, my version of Blogmas which won’t be everyday but there will be some festive content coming your way over the next few weeks. For today, I’m back with a classic monthly Beauty Favourites. Having been away from the website for a while, I have tried a number of new products that I’ve loved and added to my routines… so before I waffle on any more, I hope you enjoy this post.

Current Beauty Favourites:

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo SPF 30 + La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 + Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser –

After having an absolute mare with my skin a few weeks ago, all because of one particular cleanser that RUINED my skin, I have completely switched my products out. I wanted to take it back to basics and work out how the hell I was going to clear my skin up. La Roche Posay is one of those brands that I just haven’t heard a bad thing about and I have always loved their toner, so I thought I’d try out a few more products from them.

Starting with the cleanser; now, I love a cleanser that lathers well, because then you realllyyyy feel like you’re giving your face a good scrub. It also is completely clear and scent free, which skin just feels squeaky clean after use and a little goes a long way.

If you say you haven’t heard about the Effaclar Duo or Citaplast products, I might have to say you’re lying, because these have been on every influencers videos, instagrams, tiktok, you name it, since like 2017 and I thought it was about time I give them a try.

I use the Effaclar Duo every morning as it keeps my skin hydrated and protected throughout the day. I struggle a bit with SPF moisturisers as I find most of them crumble and separate, but this one is lightweight, sinks quickly into the skin but the feeling of hydration lasts on the skin.

Lastly, the Citaplast and arguably my favourite of the three. This is light a cream meets balm consistency and I use this every night on dry, irritated areas or breakouts. If, like me, you’re currently fighting the winter skin. The dry, sore, broken skin that burns or itches, then you need something like this. It’s said to:

Cicaplast Baume B5+ is a versatile balm that soothes and protects irritated skin. It’s enriched with both soothing and restoring ingredients, as well as anti-bacterial agents to repair your skin’s barrier function.

and it really does everything it says on the tin; now I’ve found this, I couldn’t be without it.

At this point this post is basically a La Roche-Posay review but they really are as good as I’d heard and hoped. Although I have only been using these products for a few weeks, I have already noticed such a big difference in how my skin looks, feels and how my make up applies. I have definitely found a skincare routine that works and I will be sticky to for the foreseeable.

No7 Good Intent Collagen Jelly Hydragel Mask –

This mask was one of those things that I added to my Boots basket to make up the cost for free delivery. You can never go wrong with a sheet mask, they’re mess free, easy to use and take as little as 10 minutes, so I knew it was a safe bet. However, in a matter of 3 weeks after this order, I have bought another 3 or 4 and I just love them. The mask can be left on for 3-4 hours or overnight. I’ll be honest, I tried to leave it overnight but failed miserably as it wasn’t the most comfortable. But, I like to use these in the evening after my skincare routine, I put it on, watch some telly and leave it as long as possible before going to bed. I have never seen my skin so glowy, bouncy, hydrated; you name it this mask does it. Especially with this cold weather, winter skin is real right now and I just know these masks will protect my skin throughout the season.

L’Oreal Elvive Colour Protect 8 Second Wonder Water –

Not gonna lie, I only decided to try this conditioner out because it was on a 3 for 2 deal but I am so glad I did. I’d never really been someone to use conditioner much as I find it quite heavy and, especially having wavy/curly hair, it just doesn’t do it justice as looses or ruins any kind of pattern once the hairs dry. This, however, is literally like a micellar water for your hair so it’s not heavy, doesn’t weigh the hair down and gives it a nice shine as well as that soft fresh out the hairdressers feel. You pour it on your hair and leave it on for as little as 8 seconds, no faff, no mess and surprisingly (as I really didn’t expect it) a really good product; so good that I have infact, I’ve finished 2 bottles and will be repurchasing again shortly.

Colour WOW Dream Filter –

This year I have really become a ColourWOW girly, aside from Hair Spray and Dry Shampoo, every other product I have is from ColourWOW. This is mainly because, since going more blonde, I’ve wanted to really take care of and style my hair properly and after trying the Dream Coat, I was hooked and basically needed all of the other products. I recently heard, mainly through TikTok ads, that using purple or silver shampoo on blonde hair is no longer the thing to do, so I was sold from the first AD I saw and picked this up. I use this every other time I wash my hair and this usually works out that I’m using it once. I drench my hair in this, leave it for 3 minutes as it says on the bottle, and then wash my hair as usual. To be honest, I can tell the blonde in my hair does last the full 8 weeks between colour without much, if any, fading, but I couldn’t tell you if this is actually down to the product, however, you can really see the shhhh coming out of the hair when you give it a squeeze. I’ve included this in my favourites this month as it has become part of my hair routine and, no that I’m terrified to use purple or silver shampoo, I’ll be sticking to this one for the foreseeable. If anyone also has bleached hair and has a product that works well for them to stop it fading or discolouring, then please let me know; I’m still learning as a blonde girly.

Anddddd, there we have it day one done. I really hope you enjoyed reading about some new products in my collection and my thoughts on them. I’d love to know your opinions on the products if you’ve also tried them, especially if you thought differently to me. I’ll see you soon with more Christmassy posts.
