My Favourite Autumn Candles – Collab. | Blogtober

Today’s post is an exciting one, for me anyway, because it’s in collaboration with the lovely Georgia from www.lazzzystudent.com. Georgia is a University, Mental Health and Lifestyle Blogger and YouTuber, I would highly recommend checking out her work. For this collab we will both be sharing our favourite candles for the Autumn season but I will be sharing mine tonight and Georgia will be sharing hers in tomorrows post. There’s nothing I love more on cold nights, that to light some candles to make it warm and cosy; whether that be in the bath, just chilling on the sofa or in my bedroom so I wanted to share with you a couple of my faves. As soon as September rolls around, I switch out my summer scented candles, like floral and citrus scents, for cosier, warmer and spicy scents!

Village Candle Gingerbread House:

First up we have the Gingerbread House Candle from Village Candle and, as you can see, it’s been well and truly loved. I’ve been wanting to light this one up since way back in June / July but I held off until the last week of August; which I think is the perfect time to start getting in the Autumnal spirit. Some may say Gingerbread is more of a Christmas / Wintery kind of scent, but to me it’s a spice and Autumn just screams spices. It’s a great candle to have all the way through Autumn and Winter and is perfect from September all the way through to January at least; although I keep it lit up until the end of February or until it starts to feel like Spring. If you’re looking for a sweet, yet spicy, festive kinda candle, this one would be the one I’d recommend the most to you!

  • Fragrance notes: Festive ginger, Brown sugar and orange zest.

Yankee Candle Pumpkin Patch:

Next up we have Pumpkin Patch from Yankee Candle. This one looks a little prettier as I’ve just bought myself a new one for this year. Your typical Halloween scent is Pumpkin, whether you carve them for decoration, make a soup or make some tasty treats with them, it’s a scent you’ll always smell around this time of year and make you feel very nostalgic. When I first got this one, I thought it would be really strong pumpkin and I must admit I’m not a huge fan of, but this one has other notes of Cinnamon and Sugar (as well as lots of others) which makes it a lot more sweet and perfect for the whole season, not just Halloween.

Fragrance notes:

  • Top- Black Tea, Pumpkin Spice, Hazelnut, Nutmeg
  • Middle- Ginger, Carrot, Clove, Cinnamon
  • Body- Vanilla, Praline, Maple, Sugar, Sandalwood

Bath & Body Works Black Teak-wood:

Bath & Body works have such a variety of different scents for each and every Season and Occasion, which is one of the reasons I love their candles so much. They’re not too easy to get hold of in the UK because you can’t order directly through their website, so either I have to get them through either Notino or eBay/Amazon and they’re more pricey too!! However, every now and then I treat myself to one of their candles and one of my favourites for the season (that I currently have) is Black Teak-wood. This one is a strong woody, almost musky, scent but it has a hint of Lavender which doesn’t make it too overpowering. It just makes the room feel really warm and cosy, and the Lavender makes it great for lighting in the evenings before bed, to help me to relax and sleep better.

  • Fragrance notes: Teak Wood, Oak, Lavender and Mahogany.

Next Antigua:

Last, but not least, we have the Next Candle in Antigua and you may be thinking ‘isn’t this a Summer candle’ and yes, you’d be right but hear me out. As much as I love Autumn, it’s my favourite season for many reasons, but sometimes it get’s to the point where I miss the sun, the beach, the holidays and all the other fun stuff that comes during the season. It’s a really fresh and fruit scent, has up to 50 hours of burn time, it’ll easily spread around the whole house. There are so many amazing 5 star ratings on all of the candles from Next and rightly so because they’re really well priced, have a long burn time, have a strong scent which can be smelt even if it’s not lit and I find it a whole lot less smokey than the Yankee Candle ones.

  • Fragrance notes: Mango, Papaya and Pineapple.

And those are my four favourite candles for the season. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed the read and thank you to Georgia for collab-ing with me. Don’t forget to checkout her Blog and YouTube Channel and I will see you tomorrow with Georgia’s favourite Autumnal Candles post.
