Glossybox 9th Birthday Box Unboxing || August 2020.

Hey there and welcome back to a new post on my blog. I can’t believe it’s already that time again where I’m sharing this months Glossybox with you, but it’s particularly exciting this month because it’s their 9th Birthday box and it’s full of lots of exciting goodies, some that have been on my wish list for a while. Let’s see what’s in this month box then.

Let’s start with the Brush Works HD Wonder Complexion Sponge. I always get so excited to try out new sponges as my all time fave is the Beauty Blender, but it’s a little pricey so I’m always on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I have heard lots about Brush Works brushes but haven’t tried them myself before but this one looks almost identical to the Real Techniques one and I’m a lover of that one too so will be interesting to see if it’s just as good. You can probably already guess that I will be reviewing this sponge for the next part of my makeup sponge reviewing series, so I’m not going to give much away about how I’m feeling about it just yet, but I already have another review to write before this one so you should see this shortly.

Next up is their own Glossybox Eye Boost Cream which is part of their Glossybox Skincare that they have recently released. I don’t know whether I’ve been living under a rock, but I didn’t know they were bringing out their own skincare range so when I saw this one I just wanting to buy the whole collection and test it out. However, I’m drowning in skincare at the moment so maybe I’ll just try the eye cream for the time being. If you know me, you’ll know I love a good eye cream and it’s definitely something I like to invest in, but retailing at just £20, if this is a winner my bank account will sure be a lot happier. It’s said to reduce under eye bags and refresh tired looking eyes and to me this sounds like the dream so I’m excited to try it out. If you’ve tried any of the products from this range please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

I believe I’ve only tried one product from Huda Beauty, that being the Emerald Obsessions eye palette which I absolutely love, so when I saw the Huda Beauty Demi Matte Liquid Lip in the shade Day Slayer, I was particularly excited because it’s been on my wishlist for god knows how long. It’s a light nudey pink which is super pigmented and isn’t drying on the lips because it’s not completely matte. It also smells absolutely incredible, almost enough to eat, although I wouldn’t recommend doing that!! I can imagine this will become a new go-to for my everyday makeup and I’m sure if I love it as much as I think I already do, you’ll be sure to see me talk a lot about it on the blog.

Moving on, we have the Molton Brown Shower Gel in Delicious Rhubarb and Rose and I can tell you it smells amazing. One of my favourite shower gels is from Molton Brown in Jasmine & Sun Rose and I’m hoping I’ll love this one just as much when I start using it. The smell of these shower gels sticks to the skin all day and can smell it on my right up until I shower again the next morning and it leaves my skin feeling really soft too and doesn’t dry it out like some do. I’d really recommend looking into these if you’re looking for new bath/ shower products. They’re a little more pricey than most, but a little goes a long way.

Last but not least we have the Steve Laurent Vogue Lip Liner. I’ve only ever tried Steve Laurent products from receiving them in these boxes but I’m always pleasantly surprised at how much I like them. Their Rose Gold Loose Pigment always finishes off my eye looks really well and I have high hopes from this one too. Just from one swatch I can tell that the liner is really smooth and creamy, it’s a lovely rich pink shade so will compliment the Huda Lipstick nicely.
