As bloggers, we need the help of blogging tools to support our blogging journey. There are tons of blogging tools out there you can choose and free to use. When it comes to blogging tools, I am always looking for what is easiest to use and gives the best result.

SO, here the 8 free blogging tools that I always use every day. They are FREE and really helpful to maintain and build your blog.

Canva

Canva is the 1st blogging tool that I always visit every day. My favorite place to create blog graphics such as featured images, Pinterest pins, Facebook, and Twitter covers. If you visit me on my Pinterest, I use Canva to create all my pins. It is really easy to use, even with a free account.

With Canva, even when you’re not a tech-savvy person or not good with creative things, you can still create your simple and clean templates with them. They offer many templates, starting from Instagram posts, email templates, media kit, curriculum vitae, Pinterest pin, book cover and so much more to explore!

Bullet Journal

The 2nd blogging tool I can’t live without is my bullet journal. In my blogging schedule and how to stay organized as blogger posts, I have mentioned that I always and love to use a bullet journal to plan my schedule. I write down all the single things I have to do in my bullet journal every day.

By using a bullet journal, it helps me to stay on the right track and stay organized every day. I also use my life planner to help me manage my monthly, weekly, daily tasks, reach my goals, track my habits, organize my task lists, and keep track of everything that matters easily. This planner improves my productivity, manages my time more efficiently, strikes a balance between my work and life, and gets things done like a pro.

Google Calendar

Other than the bullet journal, I use google calendar to plan my monthly blog content. Sometimes I don’t always stick to my content schedule, so if I need to change the date, I only need to drag and drop the schedule on the date I want. I don’t need to write it down or make my bullet journal seem awful when I need to change or erase things. I also have a smart blog planner to help me track my blog growth and every blogging-related stuff.

Trello

Trello is my 3rd blogging tool other than the bullet journal and google calendar to plan and organize my to-do list. I only use Trello to keep track of everything related to my blog. From the blog post link, blog post ideas, my affiliate links, social media links, things I need to edit, update, change, my color code, anything blog-related!

I also download the application on my phone, so when I need to check things about my blog, I don’t need to open my computer. I always do research and brainstorm ideas, so if suddenly in the middle of something an idea pop-up in my mind – I just need to type it down on my Trello and follow it up later. I love this application so much!

Grammarly

Grammarly is free instant spelling and grammar checker as you are writing. As English is not my native language, so Grammarly is my absolute best friend when it comes to writing content or everything in English. I have been using Grammarly for 4 years now and it helps me through my daily life as a translator and it is definitely helpful to you as a blogger. You can install the extension to your web browser and it will help when you write on your file, social media, blog, etc.

Unsplash

This is where I get most of my stock images from, I really like all the images uploaded to this site. I just need to type what image I’m looking for and then a lot of beautiful images are there to choose. It’s free to use but remember to give credit to the owner. Giving credit to someone’s work also can protect your blog legally and make sure your blog and you are on the right track.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual search engine, meaning that they prioritize graphics more than anything. You have to be creative and create pins that attract people, whether it is from your graphic design or from your catchy title. I used to save pins or repin other’s work before. But since Pinterest changed their rules starting last month, I started to upload fresh pins every day.

Note that Pinterest encourages creators to publish new, original content on a regular basis as the best way to build an audience on Pinterest. We encourage new publishing over Saving others’ or your own already-pinned content. Pinners come to our platform to find new ideas and as we continue to update our service, we’ll prioritize new original content published by creators over Saves.

TinyJPG

The one problem that I had with my blog is photo optimization. That was a problem that I found from the very beginning, I installed the plugin that can help but it only offers limited photos to be optimized for every month.

Anyone knows that if you’re not optimized your photos and just uploaded into your blog (with original size), it can make your blog too heavy and slow your site down. I found TinyJPG – it helps me to shrink my photos to better fit my blog without losing the quality of my photos.

Wrapping Up

These are my favorites free blogging tools. I hope you have them on your blogging tools list as they really help bloggers to build and grow their blogs. If you are looking for more blogging tools and resources, I have a whole post talking about that!

Good luck with your blogging journey!

This is a great list! I’ve been looking into Trello lately – at the moment I’m using Notion for everything but I’m definitely interested in making the switch at some point.

I love it! It has a pretty steep learning curve but it’s a really powerful tool and I use it to write and plan all my posts.
