March Favourites.

How is it April already? Although every day feels about 28394 hours long, time seems to be going by faster than ever at the moment and it’s making me feel slightly uncomfortable. ANYWAY, let’s keep positive and lift the mood by reflecting and talking about my favourite products that I used or discovered throughout March. Grab a cuppa or a snack because I have a few products to talk about.

Let’s jump right in with probably the most obvious one, which is the Beauty Bay EYN 42 Colour Bright Matte Eye Shadow Palette, which you would’ve seen if you have read my recent makeup haul post. I can’t stop reaching for this palette, every time I go to  do a makeup looks whether it’s for a blog post, an IG post or even a TikTok, I don’t even question using any other palette. There’s just so much choice, every colour you can imagine and every shade of each colour so you can use any row to create lot’s of different looks. There’s also a bright white, one that matches my skin tone so it’s a perfect transition shade and also a shimmer for brow bone and inner corner highlight. It’s so much more versatile than a lot of my other palettes so I can imagine it’s going to continue to be my go-to for the near future at least. Considering it’s size, it’s obviously not great for travelling with, but if you’re like me and would be down to cram it in your case or handbag (if you have one big enough and really needed to) then I’d certainly do so. I cannot believe the pigment that these shadows give off with even just one swipe (see below), they’ve even stained a couple of my brushes that even IPA cannot remove. The pans are also quite big too, they remind me of the Jeffree Star shadows in a lot of ways.

Next up is the ESPA Overnight Hydration Therapy and this was an absolute godsend when I was in New York last month because that wind dried my skin out like you wouldn’t believe on the first day. Thankfully I took this little beauty along with me and placed this on my skin every night with my moisturiser and it made my skin so smooth and hydrated. It has an ingredient called the 4 o’clock flower in it, which basically rejuvenates itself at night, so it essentially rejuvenates your skin at the same time. It also has lavender in it so it helps to relax you and get you a good nights sleep. This one is a little pricey at £37 (for a full size pot) but it’s something that I really love and couldn’t recommend enough so I’d say it’s worth every penny. You also only need a little bit so it lasts a long time.

I had a mini sample of the Shawn Mendes Signature Aftershave and I threw this in my wash bag when I went away just in case I wanted to switch up the perfume I was using whilst i was there and this actually became the only one I was using. It’s such a ME scent and the scent lasts so much longer than any of my perfumes … not fair !! It’s quite a fruit scent with a bit of a Musk to it and if you know me, it’s like it was made for me. I might have to get a big bottle of it soon because I’ve ran out already.

The MCo Beauty  Blossom Lipstick  came in last months Glossybox and I’ve really been loving the way it finishes off my everyday makeup look. Although I’m not going out much at the moment with everything going on, but I still like to get up, dressed and ready for the day and this does just the job. It’s such a lovely creamy lipstick … it almost gives the effect of a gloss!!

BYbi Cosmetics is another one of those brands that Glossybox introduced me to and their Strawberry Seed Oil is next on my list of favourites for this month. My skincare routine always includes an oil or serum of some sort and this has been my go to recently. It’s very smooth and creamy,  it sinks into the skin really easily without just sitting on the top. I’m not really sure what the benefits of strawberry seeds are for the skin but it does smell really good. Also for only £12 a bottle it’s considerably cheap when it comes to skincare.

Lastly for this month is the Soap & Glory Scrub of your Life Body Exfoliator .. what a throwback this one is. I haven’t had this in my life for so long, but after getting one of the sets for Christmas I thought it was about time to get using it again. Oh my god I knew I loved this before, but I forgot just how much. It has the exfoliating beads as well as the scrub (if that makes any sense) so it feels like it’s doing twice as much scrubbing. My skin is feeling so smooth at the minute, it’s particularly helped to clear up my arms where I struggle with quite problematic dry, red skin.
