New In For June || Beauty Haul.

Hey there and welcome back to another post on my blog. After the last few weeks or so of being on a spending ban, I decided that as soon as payday rolled around, that I would add some new bits to my makeup and skincare collection. I picked up quite a few bits and I know you all love a good haul, so let’s see what I picked up!

So I’m going to start with the couple of bits that I picked up in Primark. As far as I can remember, I don’t think I’ve tried anything from their makeup range … maybe like the odd lipstick or something, and the foundation is something that everyone has been talking about for a while so naturally, I had to try it out. This foundation retails at just £2.50 and you do get quite a big tube for that price. I picked up the shade NUDE. I’m not going to say too much about this because I am going to be reviewing it for the next part of my Foundation Reviewing series, but let’s just say I was shocked and I’ll leave it at that.

I then saw the Matte Lipsticks, which you all know I’m all about. I was going to pick up a nude but I’ve come to the realisation that I have WAY too many and this Red shade stood out to me. This lipstick is in the shade Limbo and it’s the literal perfect red shade for me … not to light or dark but also seems a bit like an orangey red and I LOOVVVE it!!! This lipstick retails at £1.50 and it’s super smooth and creamy, so it’s not a drying matte but I always dab my lips with some tissue or something to make my lipsticks more like a tint. There’s nothing about this lipstick that I can’t shout about and for the price, you can just bet I’m gonna be stocking up on all the shades … not that I need them, but I need them, you feel me?!

Next up is the Lifeproof Concealer from Sleek Makeup. I actually really like sleek makeup products, but I’ve only tried a couple of products from their before, so I wanted to try out more of their range. And obviously, when I saw that Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on makeup, I thought it was the best time to try them. Also, just a quick heads up that this post was written over a week ago, before I did the Sleek Concealer review, but I didn’t know how to fit it in with my schedule and when to upload it. If you would like to hear my thoughts on this concealer in more depth, you can click here.

I also picked up the Lip Dose from Sleek, because I’ve been wanting to add more creamy lipsticks to my makeup collection as it’s very much all about the mattes at the moment. During the summer, my lips tend to get really dry and using something more creamy … obviously other than gloss, helps them to stay hydrated. I’m really fussy when it comes to lip glosses because I don’t like the sticky feeling some of them give, so a creamy lipstick works a treat. I picked up the shade ‘Say My Name‘ which is a nude-y pink. I love how I said I wanted something different in my collection and STILL went for a nude, but this one is described as a Mauve, so it’s a little different … right?!

Now, let’s move on to Skincare. I go through stages of taking really good care of my skin and then when it’s cleared up, I get lazy with it again. My skin used to be more combination skin, with very dry patches under my eyes and round my nose and kind of oily round the perimeter of my face. But nowadays it’s got very oily and I think sometimes I use this as an excuse not to be so on top of my game when it comes to skin care. So, I thought what better way to get me back into loving my skin again than trying some new bits out. I picked up the Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack and the Simple Skin Quench Sleeping Cream. These are both gel based creams, which I heard were the best types of creams to use when you have oily skin because they’re oil-free and are said to hydrate the skin, without leaving it feeling greasy. So far I’m really enjoying using these products and I wake up in the morning to my skin feeling super soft.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed the read and I’ll see you soon with a new one!
