Birchbox Unboxing | April 2019.

Hi there, happy Saturday and welcome to a new post on my blog. For today’s post I will be unboxing Aprils Box with you all and sharing my thoughts on it. How is it already that time of the month again, time is going so quickly!!

So, the first product that I pulled out of the box was the Human+Kind Body Souffle. I hadn’t actually heard of this brand before, but I’m always on the look out for new skincare products and seeing how good they work for my skin. I have only used this a couple of times since getting the box, but it does smell really nice, is lightweight and doesn’t have the greasy feel. I can already feel that my elbows are feeling less dry and I will continue to use this hoping that it really stops my elbows being so dry all the time.

The next item in the box this month is the mini version of Benefits Porefessional Primer. This used to be a staple in my makeup collection a few years ago, especially when I first started getting into makeup. It’s one of those highly hyped about product in the beauty industry and is deffo worth the money, in my opinion. I haven’t used this in such a long time, since I ran out a year or so ago, and I’m very excited to try it out again.

Next up are the Diamond Eye under eye masks. Skincare is one of those things that I go all out for and I feel like under eye masks are not a step that can be skipped in a skincare routine, especially in mine. (My opinion anyway). I went online and read some reviews about this and they all seem really positive and from the properties that it claims to have, including anti-ageing, re-hydrating and smoothing, this sounds right up my street and I cannot wait to try them. They also say that they’re made with real diamond (umm not quite sure about this one haha) and caffeine extracts, which I guess is good for getting rid of under eye circles.

Lastly, is the product I’m probably most excited about and that it the Estate Dew Me Baked Highlighter. I’m sure you all know how much I love my highlighters and after swatching this one I am very impressed. It’s very pigmented, it has a nice glow to it but doesn’t have that glittery look that I really don’t like, and it doesn’t give that powdery look that just sits in top of the skin (if that makes any sense). I’m sure you’ll all see me talking about this a lot in the future because I can tell I’m going to love it!!!

Overall, I’m not that over the moon with this months box. Although I did receive a few products that I do like, I feel like it was a bit of a let down to only receive 4 products in this box. Don’t get me wrong, I do really like the products I did get, but I do think that compared to other beauty subscription box companies, that they don’t seem as good. Especially not as good in recent boxes as I found the first couple of months after joining Birchbox. I’ve seen unboxing of other subscription boxes and people seem to forever be pulling out new items from it. I think I may try out a new subscription box for next month, so if you have any recommendations for ones to try then please let me know in the comments below!
