September Favourites. | Blogtober

Hey there and welcome to Day 1 of Blogtober!! It’s finally Blogtober time and I can’t tell you how excited I am for it. I’ve had so many ideas and felt really motivated to do Blogtober again this year, so I really hope you enjoy all that’s to come!! For today’s post I will be sharing my favourites for the month of September and there’s quite a few new products that I’ve been trying out recently, so with out any further rambling, let’s see what I’ve been loving this month!

First up we have the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Primer which has been on my wish list for so many years, since every Beauty Blogger/ YouTuber raved about it back in 2013/14. I’ve heard so many good things about this primer and their Hangover primer too, so I was torn between them both, but decided that I needed more of a pore filling primer at the moment. I’ve been using this since early-mid August and my base makeup has been looking particularly good, so smooth, doesn’t go cakey after a full day of wearing it and, even though I have fairly large pores, this seems to fill them and give me a nice smooth base. As much as I’ve always used pore filling primers or silicone based primers which do the same job, I haven’t found one that suits my skin as much as this one. I’ve also found some silicone primers can make my skin even more dry around my nose, however, this one smooths out the skin, fills the pores, is oil-free so it doesn’t make your makeup oily and STILL doesn’t dry it out! It’s a little pricey but I would really recommend trying it out if you’re able to, because to me it’s worth investing in!!

My next favourite is the Babe Dreams Perfume from MISSGUIDED. I’ve had this perfume in a travel size for about a year or so now and I absolutely love it, so this month, when I ran out, I decided to finally pick up the full size. It’s such a fresh, sweet yet musky scent and considering it’s only £28, (cheap in terms of perfume prices) the scent is very strong and lasts on the skin as well as on clothes all day. The way it’s described (see below) and the notes are a perfect match for what I look for in a perfume. I LOVE Vanilla, Amber and Patchouli as well as Bergamot and Pink Pepper, so to find a scent with a mix of everything I love makes it just perfect, it’s so ME. I also suffer from rashes, so a lot of perfumes and anything I’m using on my skin doesn’t agree with it but this one hasn’t yet caused me to come up in a rash, which is another bonus!

“Do dreamy femininity the Missguided way, with their Babe Dreams fragrance. This sweet chypre scent is cushioned by a base of patchouli, rich amber and vanilla. The heart is an infusion of velvety rose with orris and violet whilst the top notes compliment with bergamot, pink pepper and red fruity accords.” – Superdrug.

I’ve have had a Charlotte Tilbury wish list as long as my arm for so long now and after kindly being gifted a voucher for my Birthday, I was able to pick up most of the things on the list. I will be doing a blog post soon about the rest of the products but for now I wanted to talk about the Easy Eye Palette. CT has so many eye shadow palettes including quads, a mini palette (this one) and some bigger eye palettes and with soo many recommendations to pick up an eye palette, I didn’t know where to start. This one caught my eye because it’s so wearable and very ME shades, but also because it has 3 day shade and 3 night ones too. With 3 mattes and 3 shimmers, you can easily make a number of different looks with this palette, but for me nothing will beat a warm toned smokey eye; which this is perfect for. The shadows themselves are very smooth, bendable and really pigmented so you don’t need to work too much with them to build up the colour. I will be talking more in depth about the palette and sharing a look in the upcoming post I mentioned so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that one if you’re interested in a full review.

I’ve had this MAC Mineralized Blush in the shade Just A Wisp in my collection for longer than I’d like to admit and after umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether I should finally get rid of it, I decided to chuck it in my everyday makeup bag to get some use out of it. During the Spring/ Summer this is usually my go-to blush, along with Luminouso from Milanim, but this year I just wasn’t reaching for it. However, after deciding to try it out as an eye shadow I’ve been reaching for it a whole lot more. I don’t go too OTT with it, but I blend a bit all over the lid and job done. It’s such a beautiful pale pink with a shimmer and it’s more pigmented than I thought, without being too much. If you have any products like this that you’re thinking of getting rid of or giving a way, I highly recommend trying to find another use for it, you may fall in love with it again.

The final two products in my favourites this month go hand in hand and it’s the Steve Laurant Lip Liner in Vogue and the Elf Matte Lipstick in Nostalgia. I’m really trying to use up makeup at the moment, rather than keep buying new bits and then the older bits don’t get used, so this is where the lip products come in. After receiving the Steve Laurant Lip Liner in a Glossybox back in August, I’d been reaching for it a lot without even realising I was sometimes, whilst not using older ones like I was trying to. It’s a beautiful dark pinky nude which compliments the very pale nude of the ELF Lipstick. Sometimes I use the lipstick just in the centre of my lips to give a more plump look or I use it all over which makes it more of a  warm toned pale pinky nude. The lipstick is so smooth and very creamy, so it’s not completely matte AND it’s only £3!!

And those were my favourites for the month of September. As always thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed it. I will be uploading every single night at 8pm UK time throughout October; I hope you’re looking forward to it as much as I am and I’ll see you tomorrow!
