What’s in my Everyday Makeup Bag? | Updated.

*excuse the quality of this photo, I will be back to using my camera soon!*

Around this time last year I wrote a ‘What’s in my Everyday Makeup Bag?’ post and as I’ve switched out every single product from my makeup bag since then, I thought I would share an updated version so that you can all see what products I’m using on the daily, at the moment. Recently, I’ve been liking more of a natural look for everyday and all of these products have helped me to create it.

You can check out my other What’s in my Makeup Bag post here!

I’m going to go in order of when I use the products, so let’s start with Primer. I have been using the Rimmel Flawless Original Primer which is really working well for my skin, it smooths, fills in pores and also hydrates the skin as well. I don’t really know how well primers work to be honest as I use a lot of setting powder and setting spray, but I do find that my makeup does last throughout the day and this could be down to the primer, a mixture of all three or just one of them, but I couldn’t tell you which one haha!

The Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer has been my go-to since it came out quite a few months ago and I haven’t been able to stop reaching for it. I decided to pick up the Supersize one when they came out with it as I keep running out of it so quickly and I can tell that this one is going to last me a WHOLE lot longer. If you would like to read my full thoughts on this concealer then you can click here!

I also picked up the new Conceal & Define Foundation which is from Revolution too and I’m really liking using it and the way it makes my skin look. Although it’s full coverage, it isn’t at all cakey and considering the price, I think it’s incredible and probably better than most high end foundations. I will be doing a full review on this soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that so that you can read my full thoughts on it.

I’ve finally switched out the RCMA No Color Powder and tried something else from my makeup kit and my new favourite powder for setting my Concealer is the NYX Banana Pressed Powder. I use my damp beauty blender to apply it and almost bake with it because I use a bit more than normal and I apply this to my eye lids, under my eyes, centre of my forehead and my chin. It gives a really nice brightened look and keeps those areas set all day. I usually get quite oily on my chin, but since using this I haven’t noticed that I have been so much!!

Benefit’s Hoola Lite has been my go-to bronzer throughout the past couple of months because it’s the perfect shade for my skin tone, it isn’t orange toned or doesn’t give that muddy look that I find the regular Hoola does and it blends really nicely. It works particularly for more natural, everyday makeup looks as it’s hardly noticable but gives a nice bronzey and slightly contoured look, without looking too much. I was thinking about doing  a comparison post on these two Bronzers and share my opinions on each of them and if they’re worth the month or not, so make sure you keep an eye out for that!

I’m always switching up the highlights, but some of my most used include W7 Glowcomotion, Mary & Betty Lou Manizer mixed together or the Revolution Peach Lights. I’m quite fussy with my highlights because I don’t like them to be shimmery or too light / dark for my skin tone but these ones give a really nice glow. I also bounce my beauty blender over the top of my highlights as this helps for them to sink into the skin more and to take the powdery look away from them.

I haven’t really changed up my brow routine in such a long time so I’m still using the MAC Gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette … however, I have started to do them a whole lot more natural, because I went through a stage of doing big bold brows and I much prefer how I’m doing them now. I also set them with the Natural Collection Clear Mascara which I have done for years and it’s a trusty favourite of mine, I really recommend it and for only £2.49 you can’t go wrong.

Moving onto eyes … I don’t really wear eyeshadow on a day to day basis, but if I want to give some definition to the eyes or just bring the look together, I will put some of my bronzer in my crease or on the lid just too look like I’ve made an effort haha! To finish off the eyes the L’Oreal Infallible Unlimited Mascara has become my go-to, it really lengthens the lashes, doesn’t make them look clumpy and also as it has a bendable wand, it helps to reach every single lash.

For everyday I just stick to a nude lip because it will tie any look together and I like the fact that no matter whether it’s a pale nude or a dark nude/brown, it still looks quite natural and not too much! I use a couple of nudes on the daily and these include MAC Velvet Teddy or the L’Oreal Infallible Nudist Matte Lip Paints in Off White and Nude On Fleek, which I actually mix together. I did actually write a review on these lip paints so if you would like to read that then you can click here!

Lastly … Setting Spray. I recently picked up the Revolution PRO Fix Fixing Spray and this has quickly become my new go-to. I must admit I do prefer the MAC Fix+ but I think thats just because it’s my all time favourite and I can’t see myself liking another one more. But as the Revolution one is like 1/4 of the price I find myself reaching for it and feeling less guilty when using it as I like to use A LOT. I don’t particularly like the scent, but it does take the powdery look away, help the makeup to stay on and last all day and it also says that it protects the skin from heat, humidity and windy conditions.

And there we have it, the products that are in my everyday makeup bag and I couldn’t recommend these products to you all enough. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you next time!
