My October 2020 Goals. | Blogtober

And just like that Summer has collapsed into Fall and we’re into the last quarter of this crazy year. This year has been anything but ordinary and you may be sitting here thinking ‘How is it October already?’ or feeling like you haven’t achieved/ done half of what you wanted to this year. Because I can tell you I’m feeling the exactly the same and I think everyone else around us will be feeling this way. However, there’s nothing stopping you from making these last 3 months of the year, the best they can be. So, I thought it would be a great time to share my goals for this month with you; I don’t think I’ve done a monthly goals post before either so I really hope you enjoy.

  • FINISH BLOGTOBER:
My first goal for this month is to actually finish Blogtober on time this year. Last year I found myself playing catch up in the last few days of them month and uploading them in the early days of November. So, this year I want to keep on top of my posts and I’m doing well so far. I’m on track to have finished every Blogtober post by half way through the month and then I can get started on my Christmas content.
  • PLAN CHRISTMAS CONTENT:
I really can’t believe that the Christmas season starts in less than 2 months; I’m so excited to get in the festive spirit. I’m still not 100% sure how I’m going to go about my Christmas posts this year, as the last few years I’ve done Blogmas, 12 Days of Christmas and Blogcember and I enjoyed them all so much but each were tough in their own way. I’m hoping to Blogmas and will plan to do so, however if I achieve goal number 4 and get a Job before then, my schedule might change. Planning Christmas content seems so easy but after about 10 post ideas I get stuck and feel like I’m just updating old posts, but this year I’m going to start planning early and hope for the best.
  • MEET MORE BLOGGERS:
My next goal is to meet more Bloggers which is actually a goal that seems to be on nearly every bucket list and goals post I’ve done, but I have pencilled in plans to finally meet two Blogger friends of mine this month which is exciting. As long as the current rules don’t get tightened again then these plans will go ahead. If you’re a Blogger, have you met any blogger friends yet? Let me know in the comments below.
  • FIND A JOB:
Just over a month ago now I was let go of my job due to the pandemic which wasn’t ideal but it has given me lots more time to focus on Blogging for the time being. I’ve been looking and applying for jobs, but there isn’t much out there at the moment. It definitely doesn’t help when I’m still not sure what I want to do with my life but we’ll see what happens this month.
  • PLAN MY 2021:
The last thing that I want to do this month is to plan 2021 and this is something I try and do around this time every year. I never have things set in stone just in case things come up, like this year for example, but it’s nice to have a list of things I’d like to have done or achieved by the end of the following year. I really want to travel lots more next year; I’ve been to some incredible places already but I have the wanderlust bug now!!
What are your goals for October? Do you try to plan the next year in advance? Let me know in the comments.

So, those were a handful of the goals, that I can think of, which I wan’t to achieve by the end of October. If you’re struggling with motivation right now then I urge you to make a list, whether it’s mentally or on the notes app on your phone, because they really help me and it’s so satisfying to be able to tick them off! I hope you have a lovely evening and I will see you at the same time tomorrow with a new post.

It is totally a great time to plan for 2021, I didn’t even think of that yet! It’s great to see so many people taking part in Blogtober!

I feel like it just helps me feel more motivated and on top of things when the new year roles around. And I know, I feel like lots more people are doing it this year!

Good luck with your goals! I’ve been in the same boat with job hunting recently (and also not knowing what I want to do haha) and it was hard to do in this situation but I got a job in the end so fingers crossed you’ll find a job you’ll like, too!
