My Autumn Travel Bucket List. || Blogtober

Blogtober is in full swing and I hope you’re enjoying reading my posts as much as I am enjoying writing them. Today I will be sharing my Autumn Travel Bucket List, which is basically going to be the list of places I would love to travel to around this time of the year … because let’s face it every place is better at certain times of the year, or has it’s bonuses for different seasons or holidays. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post and let’s get into it!

Florida, Orlando

Going to Disneyland or Disney world is definitely on my bucket list as a whole, but I’d love to go for each major holiday because of all the decorations and festivities. America itself is so big on Halloween compared to the UK, so going to fright nights, trick or treating (if I was younger) and maybe seeing a scary movie in America is high on my bucket list for this time of the year and Orlando especially, because they’re known for their big theme parks.

New York, New York

Speaking of America another area I’d live to visit this time of the year is New York. New York is said to be really beautiful with its autumn colours (obviously it is anyway, but even more so) and have lots of different things to offer including NFL games, due to it being football season. I’ve also heard great things about the Annual Village Halloween Parade. Thanksgiving is around this time of the year and it’s supposed to be even bigger than Christmas is for us, and we all know American do everything BIGGER and go above and beyond for everything. Apparently Pumpkin Beer is a big thing in NY (or maybe the U.S in general and I’m always up for trying new and weird things so this will deffo be something I’m going to make sure I try.

Montenegro

I couldn’t tell you why but Montengero has always been high on my bucket list even from a very young age before I even knew what there or where it was. Croatia is said to be quite similar to Montenegro and as I’ve been to Croatia before, I know just how beautiful it was there so I know Montenegro will be too, especially with the colours changing😍 I’ve also heard that there are many wine festivals around the country during autumn which aim to develop cultural values and natural cuisine and to be honest you had me at wine … but food as well? Count me in.

Milan, Italy

I’ve been lucky enough to visit different parts of Italy quite a few times and I absolutely love it there. I just know visiting Milan will be tiring and exploring in hot weather isn’t always the one, so I think late summer, early autumn would be the perfect time to visit. Autumn is said to be the best time to visit Milan if you’re looking to do some sightseeing and touristy bits and bobs and winter is the best time to do some shopping. Fashion week is also on during this time of year and although I’m not the biggest ‘fashion’ person, I know there will be a big buzz around the city. Obviously winter is the best time to be a foody, because the calories don’t count right? And what better place to be that surrounded by carbs, carbs and more carbs!

Amsterdam

Next up on my Autumn Bucket list is Amsterdam and Autumn is Film Festival Season in Amsterdam including Cinekid Festival and the International Documentary Film Festival … now I’m not saying either of these are necessarily my cup of tea but I’m sure they’ll have one right up my street. As well as their film festivals it’s said to be big with music, gigs and DJs as well as dinner boat trips being all the rave and I don’t know about you, but this is definitely a bit of me … imagine the scenery.

I also have a goal to celebrate New Year in a different capital city each year (which I hope to start next year) and each of the I can just imagine will have beautiful firework displays and different tradition and ways that they celebrate it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my latest post, I really hope you enjoyed it. I’d love to know what’s on you’re bucket lists in the comments below!!

I’d love to visit Amsterdam and New York in Autumn! I could imagine streets filled with people wrapped in cosy jumpers and scarves, autumn leaves blowing in the wind and the smell of coffee on every street corner. These look like some amazing places to visit and I hope you get to visit them all.
