Revolution x Imogenation Eye Shadow Palette | Review & Swatches!

Hey there and welcome to today’s post which I have been so excited to write because this is a review on the new Revolution x Imogenation Eyeshadow Palette. As soon as I heard Revolution were going to be doing a collaboration with Imogenation, I was buzzing and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. If you have tried the contour and highlight palette from this collab, then please let me know your thoughts on it or link your blog post reviews in the comments below!

Now, let’s talk about the packaging because we all know that’s the first thing that draws me in to purchasing a new product. It’s a really cute ombré purple, with a pale pink on the bottom and inside and I think this packaging just screams Imogen and it gives me a unicorn kinda vibe.
With 20 shadows including a black, a white, neutral shades and a mixture of matte sand shimmers, the packaging is super thin and these all make it so perfect for travelling or anywhere even for MUA kits.

I'm really impressed with the pigmentation of the shadows as you only need one swipe of the brush in the product, the colour pay off is really good and the shadows come out really opaque. I think these shadows are very good quality for a £10 palette as they’re really soft and easy to blend. I will say that you will have to work a little bit with the shimmery shadows like Butterfly and Forever Friend if you want a completely opaque colour and you can achieve this by packing it on with your fingers or using some setting spray on your brushes and then packing it onto the lid.

This palette is super versatile as it has neutral shades, which are both warm and cool toned, the bottom two rows, particularly the bottom right 4 shadows, look like they’re going to be perfect for Autumn and the shades Butterfly and Forever Friend are really standing out to me and they look like they’re going to be perfect for cut creases or a pop of cover look.

Overall, I am very happy with this palette and I cannot wait to get using it and start creating lots of different looks with it. I had such high hopes for this palette as Revolution always kills it with their palettes ... well all of their products really ... as well as their collabs and this one did not disappoint. I will be sharing a makeup look using this palette soon, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that, if you want to see what I create!

Milestones, Celebrating Numbers and Blogging for the wrong reasons. | ft Bloggers.

Just over a week a go, my blog hit 50,000 views, which is SO crazy to me and I cannot thank anyone whose ever clicked on and read my blog enough! I know numbers aren't everything and a lot of people look down on those that do celebrate numbers, but I think it's great to celebrate how far you've come and how well something you've put so much time and effort into is doing (!!!) Obviously a number on a screen isn't the be all and end all, but there's no harm in being proud of yourself for your Blog or YouTube Channel going in the right direction ... so I thought I would get some bloggers together and see what their opinions are and why celebrating numbers shouldn't be frowned upon & why it's something that should be celebrated.

Faye Jessica -

Celebrating numbers is great. All achievements that come from your blog should be celebrated because your effort has payed off! However focusing on numbers too much can show. It could stop the fun of blogging and cause you to lose the passion you once had. Therefore you should never push yourself too hard. But of course, celebrate when you reach your goals!

Mercydes Moore -

I don’t think it’s bad at all to celebrate numbers! As a blogger you work super hard on your content and writing material that you enjoy and that others will enjoy reading so when you hit certain numbers it makes you feel good and shows you that your viewers are enjoying your content.

Mia -

I think it’s important to set goals and to achieve them, don’t take the numbers too seriously but when you hit your goal it is an amazing feeling.

Alix -

In my opinion as a small blogger if you’ve worked extremely hard on your content then my question is why shouldn’t you celebrate numbers? Hitting a certain milestone big or small gives me more confidence to keep following my dreams. It’s also a very proud moment and you feel like you’ve achieved something! If people like my content then I feel like I’m doing a good job and it makes me want to keep going. I don’t get paid to do this I do it because I love doing it and hitting certain numbers makes me feel extremely proud of myself for doing it especially because I was so nervous in the beginning at what others would think! So yes I do think it’s good to celebrate numbers!

I just want to thank each blogger for sharing their thoughts on celebrating numbers when it comes to blogging and it looks like we all have similar opinions, as long as it's not the only thing you're looking at.

Also thankyou so much for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it. I will be running a giveaway in my next post, so make sure you're there!!!

Until Next Time,
Luci ♡♡

Hey there! At the beginning of either a new week, month or year, I often find myself becoming more and more motivated and inspired to achieve my goals. However, sometimes I find that, if I'm not getting closer to where I want to be, that I can feel quite stuck and like I'm not getting anywere and quotes are something that always, without a doubt, re-inspire me ... so I thought I would share some quotes with you all to help you out too!!

The Travel TAG! | Collab.

Hey everyone and welcome to today’s post which is another tag. This post is all about travel ... which is one of my favourite things ... and this is particularly exciting because it’s in collaboration with Mercydes from I hope you enjoy!

Mercydes’ post: (click here)

Which countries of the world have you already visited?

UK (obvs), Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Morocco, Italy, Norway, Greece, Croatia, China and Hong Kong.

Which destination is the number one of your bucket list?

It’s so hard to choose just one as I’m such a travel freak (if that’s even a good way to put it) I just want to go everywhere I can. But I’d say number one would be LA at the moment. Other places I’d like to visit include Brazil, Australia, Montenegro, Dubai and more!!

What is your most ideal holiday?

I would like a holiday where I can do all the things I like, or would like, doing including; exploring, visiting landmarks, doing different activities e.g. scuba diving, experiencing new cultures, trying new foods and also chilling on the beach or by the pool, so I’d say something where I can do a little bit of everything.

Which place did you think was so special that you would love to go back there sometime?

I’d say Hong Kong as it’s one of my favourite places that I have visited so far. This is because it’s the most different place I’ve been, compared to home with the different culture and ways of life. But the holiday was also a mixture of a city break, a holiday where we explored the island, nearby towns, visited different landmarks/places including the Tian Tan Buddha, a zoo where we saw the Pandas and the Peak and we also went to the beach to relax too!! I really want to go back at some point.

Show us your nicest holiday photo!

The quality isn't the best but this is the view from the top of the peak in Hong Kong looking over Victoria Harbour and I still can't get over this view. The picture below was taken on thee Balcony of the apartment we were staying in on The Peak.

Who are you mostly to go on Holiday with?

Most of the time I travel with my Parents and my sister, however I would like to go travelling with friends more.

Who or what would you take with you to an uninhabited island?

I would take one of my friends probably and I’d have to have my camera and probably a book because I’d need something to keep me entertained ahh.

Would you rather go to an amusement park or a zoo?

I would actually say an amusement park because I’ve been to a number of zoo’s before and they’re kind of the same but amusement parks all seem to be different.

Would you rather go on a ski- or a sun vacation?

I’d say sun because I love getting a good tan and I hate the cold, however as I’ve never been skiing / snowboarding I would like to go on one at least once.

What is your nicest holiday memory?

I have soo many good holiday memories all for different reasons, so I’ll have to share a couple.
For the first nicest holiday memory, I’d probably say when me and my family were on a cruise and we stopped off in Gibraltar for the day. Whilst we were there we went on the cable cars which for surrounded by monkeys ( I believe they even came into the cable car on the way up) and we were able to get soo close to them.

My second nicest holiday memory was in Hong Kong where we went to see the Tian Tan Buddha, during that day we went on the Star Ferry over the Victoria Harbour and on a long
Cable Car journey with a glass floor so we could see for miles over the forest and the city in the distance. I loved that day!!

To which country (countries) are you going on holiday this year?

I’m going to Spain in September, I believe we’re going to Torremolinos (yes I know it's bad that I'm still not sure) and I’m really looking forward to getting away and getting a tan.

Where would you never go on holiday?

To be honest right now there are countries that I wouldn’t travel to due to them not being safe or like ‘war’ countries but over time, different countries are said to be unsafe or not good to go so I wouldn’t rule any country out overall.

And there we have it ‘The Travel TAG’, I loved answering these questions and I hope you all enjoyed this post.

Until Next Time,
Luci ♡♡

Birthday Haul!

If you didn’t know, last week it was my 19th Birthday and I was lucky enough to receive some presents even though I had absolutely no idea what to ask for. The older I get, the less I actually want so I did receive some month and gift cards as well as a few bits and bobs. After asking on Twitter what you all would like to see next on the blog, a birthday haul was voted for most so ... let’s get into it.

Morphe Brushes have to be my favourites for applying my makeup as they’re all very good quality but they’re also very well priced as well. After seeing that Beauty Bay was dropping Morphe from their website, I realised they were having a sale so I just had to ask for some. I received the MB23, R44 and the M527 Some of the other Morphe brushes that I absolutely love are the M404, for brushing away excess powder when packing and the M139 as it’s such a small blending brush it helps to get to the harder to reach places and also to create a finer blend of colour. The MB23 is a large blending brush, which is super soft and blends the shadows seamlessly ... and easily which my arm is thankful for!! The M527 is a big fluffy brush that I use for bronzer and it’s the perfect dupe for the MAC 135S, which I’ve had my eye on for soo long now and this one is like a 3rd of the price and works perfectly.

Next up is the Real Techniques Blush Brush, which I have actually wanted for quite a while but just didn’t think I needed it as I have lots of different brushes that do the job just fine. However, this brush is just as good as I had imagined and how I wanted it to be. It’s the perfect size, shape to cover the apples of the cheeks, it’s very fluffy to makes it easy to blend out and it also picks up a good amount of product, without making it look like you’re wearing too much.

I needed a new mascara and wasn’t quite sure which one to ask for, so I came across the Soap & Glory Thick and Fast High Definition Collagen Coat Mascara (probably the longest name ever) and I thought I’d give it a go as I haven’t really used many S&G makeup products before. I really like this mascara as it lengthens the lashes, doesn’t make them clumpy, makes them really black and separates they whilst giving them a curl, however it does give a very natural look and can look like your haven’t got that much mascara on after a while and that isn’t a look that I like. But if you like the natural look then this mascara could be right up your street.

Soap & Glory Bright + Beautiful Radiance Boosting Face Mask. I haven’t actually tried this mask before (I don’t think I have anyway!) but I absolutely love the S&G Eye sheet mask so I have high hopes for this one. They’re really well priced at £4 (which is between high end and drugstore price) and I know it’ll do wonders for my skin. If I like this then I’m sure you’ll hear me raving about it a lot on my blog in the coming months.

I actually asked for the Boohoo Pom Pom Pyjamas next, as who doesn’t love a cute pair of pjs to wear. I find a lot of my pjs are like joggers and loungewear, which are quite wintery, so I wanted something a little better for the summer and I actually really like these. There isn’t much I can say about these pyjamas but you can take a look at them here.

Last but not least, I received a Boots Gift Card from one of my friends (thankyou Soph if you’re reading) and I’ll probably do a Boots Haul or something in the near future as you all seem to love those sorts of posts and I love sharing my new purchases with you, so make sure to keep yours eyes peeled for that.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you liked it and I’ll see you soon with another!!

Until Next Time,

July Favourites.

So here we are again at the beginning of a new month and July, just like every other month, was all about trying out new products and clearly still not being able to stop buying more makeup. Over the past few weeks I managed to find a number of different things that I have been loving to use so I thought I would share them with you all in this months favourites post.

My first favourite of the month is the Revolution Liquid Highlight in Liquid Starlight. I’ve been really liking this to wear both on its own and with a full face as it can look like a natural glow as well as a more intense glow as a base for some powder highlight. This highlight is quite oil based and sinks into the skin very easily, however sometimes on top of foundation and concealer it can make it patchy and take off the product below so I would suggest blending it in with the concealer, rather than after it.

Next up is the So...? Body Spray in Bali Breeze and, if you’ve read my ‘Picking out the perfect Summer Fragrance’ post, you would have seen me talking about this. The price is pretty similar to the Victoria's Secret Body Sprays at £5.99 and you get 200ml of spray. This spray is described as

So…? Bali Breeze body mist transports your thoughts to lazy and carefree days on the beach. Its mellow notes of coconut, pineapple and pretty orange blossom create a fragrance that is soothing and calming to your senses.

and that is the perfect way to describe is ... as we all know I cannot explain things, especially scents. This has been perfect for this warm weather and it stays on for hours without having to reapply it!!

Throughout this month I have also been really liking the Benefit Blush in Dandelion. I’m not usually that much of a Blush fan ... especially matte ones ... but this one is a really nice pale pink and it’s perfect for this time of year. It is subtle, but can be built up and it gives a nice rosy glow. It did take me a while to find a blush like this that is fully matte, is the perfect pale pink, but also isn’t too pigmented so wouldn’t make you look like a clown hah!

My last favourite for this month is the Natural Collection Brow Tidy, which is said to be a good dupe for the ABH one. I used to really like this but didn't use it for month on end, until the last few weeks wheres it become a staple in my makeup routine again. For just £1.99 you do get a decent amount of product, which lasts a good while. If you have quite thick brows, like me, or brows that don't stay put with just brow gel, then this may be really handy for you as it keeps your brows in place before you apply any other product, so you can see where you need to fill in and the set again with some brow gel and they'll stay put all day!

Thankyou so much for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you soon!

Until Next Time,
