My Top 5 BRIGHT Spring / Summer Lips!

Even though I’m all about my nude lips, throughout the Spring and Summer I’m all about the bright, bold colours to give me them holiday feels. For today’s post I thought I would share with you my top 5 Spring / Summer Lipsticks and I’d love to hear about yours to in the comments below!!

My first bright lip favourite is The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in Cali Gerbera. I picked this up a year or two ago when TBS had a sale on and decided to buy the whole collection of liquid lipsticks and I’m so glad I did. They’re really well priced at £7 and have the perfect creamy, lightweight formula. They very much remind me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. This liquid lip is an orange shade, but is a little more red, it’s also super bright and it looks particularly amazing with minimal or no makeup.

Next up is another one of The Body Shop Matte Lips and this one is in Sydney Amaryllis, which is a true, almost pinky, red lip. I think when people think of red lipsticks, they either think of Christmas or Summertime and this red is deffo a classic summer red as it’s bright, is super pigmented so you don’t need to add lots of layers (which also won’t cause it to become cakey and crack) and it also looks good on every single skin tone … it just has everything you could want (!!!)

I did mention the MAC lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous in my Top 5 Fave Fall Lips post, which you can read here, but I feel like this lipstick is the perfect colour for all year round. Flat Out Fabulous is a bright plum lip colour, which is also quite pinky at the same time. This lipstick is matte which I don’t usually like for the spring and summer, but as the Mac matte and retro matte lips are super creamy and not drying they work perfectly … they also last well on the lips too!! (shop this here)

A very new favourite that has just joined my collection is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade (825) Lovers Coral which, hense the name, is a coral. This is a high shine lipstick which is very creamy and hydrating … it’s also quite sheer but with a couple of swipes you can build up the opacity of it. Being a shine lipstick, it doesn’t have a very long wear time, but if you apply a similar lip liner underneath, it’ll give it something it stick to. It’s also super smooth and has a buttery formula, without that sticky feeling, so it’s really comfortable to wear. Lovers Coral retails at £7.49, but they’re currently in the sale here!

My last favourite lip for the S/S is the W7 Lipstick in Tender Touch, which is from the ‘The Kiss Matte’s Range’. This lipstick is a pinky shade that isn’t too pale or too dark … it’s just the perfect pink that even suits someone as pale as me. Although pink’s don’t usually suit me, I think with a nice tan it’ll really make it pop. Tender Touch is a creamy lipstick that doesn’t necessarily have a matte or shiny look to it, but it’s really smooth and creamy, again without that sticky feeling, which is a MUST for my lip products. The little things really stand out to me and this lipstick has ‘W7’ printed on the bullet, which I just thought I would mention haha!! (shop this here)
