Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer | Review!

I know I’m a tad late on this one because the shades I wanted were out of stock, but after it came back in stock on TAM Beauty I was straight on there to buy them. I picked up shades C1 to highlight the high points of my face and C2 to cover up any blemishes.

I’ve heard so many people saying that this concealer is a good dupe for Tarte Shape Tape, but as I haven’t tried that I can’t make a comment, however, the way the concealer looks once it’s blended out does remind me of the MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer.

So my thoughts? … the packaging is super cute, even though it’s very minimal, but add a little rose gold to something and I’ll love it haha! This Concealer comes in 18 different shades, which is an incredible selection and other brands, especially drugstore brands, should take note. I’m actually so impressed that the lightest shade actually creates a light, bright, highlight on the high points on my face, rather than just matching my skin tone like a lot of other brands. These concealers have also been very popular for contouring and after trying the lighter shades out, I deffo want to pick up some of the darker shades.

My first thoughts when I applied the concealer to my face were that it was quite thick, which I’ve got to admit I thought it was game over, but honestly it’s so easy to blend out and using a damp beauty blender also helped. The concealer has incredible coverage but is still buildable, without it looking cakey and it doesn’t sit in the creases or bunch up under the eyes. I’m the type of person that likes to wear a LOT of concealer, so they run out quite quickly, but with this one I notice that you need the tiniest amount as it goes a long way … and this is another bonus as it lasts longer!! The concealer has a matte finish, which I thought would be a turn off for me as I have quite dry skin around my eyes, but to  be honest, it didn’t cling to the dry patches or separate around that area.

This concealer retails at just £4, compared to the Tarte Shape Tape which is £22. I’ve been wanting to try out the Shape Tape for god knows how long, but I think I’ll give it a miss now as I’m so impressed by this one. Admittedly you do get a small tube of product, but as it’s super cheap I wouldn’t mind buying these more regularly.

Wear Test:

I wore this concealer for around 8-9 hours and surprisingly, when  I went to take it off, it still looks fresh and flawless under the eyes. It did slightly rub off on the rest of my face but, considering the price and how long I wore it for, it wasn’t too much of a big deal.

Another thing that makes me like the concealer even more, is that it’s so accessible in Superdrug and online at TAM Beauty in the UK and Ireland. Superdrug and TAM Beauty also both ship worldwide (I’m not sure how many countries they ship to) so it’s also accessible for those outside of the UK too.

My Overall Opinion:
Overall, I am super impressed by all aspects of this concealer including, the packaging, shade range, longevity, accessibility and price. I can’t recommend this concealer enough as I don’t think there would be a makeup lover out there that would dislike this product!

What are your thoughts on this concealer or if you haven’t tried it, do you want to try it out now?!
