My Holy Grail Products of 2017!

Throughout 2017 I have been growing my makeup collection, so I have been trying a number of different products and brands. As I have found quite a few of my favourite products this year, I thought I’d share with you My Holy Grail Products of 2017!

MAC Prep & Prime Fix+ –
This has been a fave of mine for quite a while now and I just love how you can use just one spray for a few different things. This can be used as a primer, a setting spray, to bring out more pigment in an eye shadow or highlighter and also to freshen up throughout the day … this is a savior, especially on a hot day!!

EX1 Invisiwear Foundation –
The EX1 Foundation is something that I’ve used for a couple of years now, and I’m still just as obsessed with it as I was thee first time I used it. The only thing that I wasn’t so impressed with was the shade range, as the lightest shade was super orange, but now they’ve added more shades and I’m hoping they’re better matches. It has quite high coverage, but isn’t cakey and gives a glowy finish … what more could you want?!

Urban Decay Naked Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer-

I originally bought this concealer for more glam looks, but its quickly become part  of my everyday makeup routine, which my skin is loving … but my bank account? not so much! This stuff is like magic in a tube, you need the smallest amount and everything is just GONE, no dark circles, no spots, nothing! It may be quite expensive, but it’s deffo worth it!!

RCMA No Colour Powder –
I don’t usually buy products that are hyped about by Youtubers and Bloggers … well maybe the odd one … but Michael Finch mentioned this powder soo much and I just couldn’t not try it. At the beginning of this year I started to get more into ‘baking’ everday, rather than just for more glam looks, and I was torn between trying this and trying the Laura Mercier Powder, but this one was almost half the price so I thought I’d try this first. This sets concealer so nicely to stop it creasing, it doesn’t dry out the skin or cling to dry patches and it doesn’t change the colour or cause a white cast … it just sets it!! I can’t recommend this enough!

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer –
This bronzer is just EVERYTHING … although it matte, not shimmery, and it is a powder,it almost applies like a cream because it’s soo buttery. It also doesn’t dry out the base makeup, which I find with other powder bronzers, when you’re putting powder on top of powder, on top of powder!

MAC Blush in Melba –
Moving on to Blush, I’m sure you’ve heard everyone mention this at least once … it’s just such a lovely colour, which isn’t too much or too bright, it finishes off looks really nicely! Also if you’re not big on blushes, just like I wasn’t before I bought this, you may be pleasantly surprised!

The Balm Cindy-Lou Manizer –
Cindy-Lou has always been my go-to everyday blush/highlight and I really love the look of it … it gives a pink glow! It’s also quite cheap as well and the pan is big so it lasts a while! I would really recommend this!!

MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme –
A lot of people seem to stay away from brow gel cremes and dip brows etc. because they think they look too fake/thick/bold, but to be honest if they’re done with a light hand they can look really good. I find this MAC one works really well when fading the front of the brow and I really like to the look it gives! It is a little pricey at £16.50 but it lasts ages. I’ve had mine since the beginning of July and I’ve not even used half the pot yet … and that’s using it EVERYDAY!!

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil –
I was holding off buying this at first because I don’t usually use pencils, but this has changed that. If I’m going for a more natural look then I’ll reach for this. The pencil is angled and thin so it makes it so easy to do hairlike strokes and only apply it where it needs to be. It’s also water and smudge proof, so no risk of your brows rubbing off half way through the day!

MAC Painterly Paint Pot –

I’ve had this paint pot for so long and only used it occasionally, but over the past few month I’ve started using it everyday. It just makes the application of eye shadow soo much better and they just blend so seamlessly. I am going to try out Soft Ochre at some point as I think I’d prefer the more yellow base rather than the pink like this one! This is deffo one of the best products I’ve used for priming the eye lids!!

W7 Delicious Eye Shadow Palette –

Can I go on about this palette anymore … yes, yes I can!! The shades in this palette are just perfect for Autumn … well any season really, but particularly Autumn. The quality of these shadows are incredible and they’re soo pigmented! If you want to see my full review and swatches of this dupe then please >> click here << .

Morphe 35K Eye Shadow Palette –
I’m sure you’ve all heard me talk about this palette too much in previous posts, but the obsession is real!! This palette is particularly perfect for this time of year … it is party season of course! You can create neutral looks for everyday, more glam looks and even day to night looks!! 35 incredibly pigmented, smooth shadows for just £23.50 … ugh yes please!!

Bourjois Ultra Curl Mascara –

Throughout this year, this mascara has been my go-to and I’ve used it every single day! The wand  is curved so curls each lash up making them look full, without looking spider-y. It’s deffo one of the best mascaras from the drugstore, that I’ve tried.

Peaches & Cream Lashes No.08 –
No matter how many brands of lashes I try, I always go back to Peaches & Cream … they’re cheap, good quality and they come with free next day delivery, so if you need them last minute, you can!! I mainly use No.8 because although they’re quite full lashes, they don’t look TOO much so they’re good for day to night looks as well!
