Blogmas Day 12: My Top 5 Favourite Christmas Films!

Can you believe it? ... we're half way there! Another 12 days and it'll be Christmas Eve, getting all cozy in our PJ's and eating delicious food. Christmas is my favourite time of year, but there's nothing worse than being soo close to Christmas, but not being in the Christmas Spirit. Nothing get's me more in the Christmas mood, than watching a good ol' Christmas movie  ... so for todays post, I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite Christmas movies.

HOME ALONE-

Ahh, Home Alone, which dare I say it, is a Christmas classic ... so Kevin, whose only 8 years old, is left home alone when the rest of his family fly to Paris without him ... god knows how?! Whilst his parents are away, 2 burglars come to the house, which Kevin has to defend and he does so by creating all sorts of traps and other strategies. Luckily there is a happy ending for the family.

ELF-

I can't remember a year that I didn't watch Elf at Christmas Time, it's a perfect film for the whole family. It's about a baby Elf called Buddy, who was taking to live with Papa Elf, who then grows up feeling like he doesn't fit in. He then goes to New York hoping to find his real dad. He then tries to convince everyone that he's a real Elf.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL-

Basically Scrooge (played by Jim Carrey), who obviously is a bah humbug, bumps into the ghost of his business partener, who warns him that 3 spirits will visit him. These spirits take him back to his past, then present and the the future to try and change his dislike towards Christmas!

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRITMAS-

Because I'm not much of a film lover, until Christmas rolls around, I've only seen this a handful of times, but I just really like it. So, a bit of an insight into what it's about, if you haven't seen it ... basically the Grinch (also played by Jim Carrey) tries to steal everything Christmas related from a small town. But it doesn't go to plan when his meets Cindy Lou Who! It's deffo a must watch!!

LOVE ACTUALLY-

Essentially Love Actually isn't really a Christmas Film as such, but it's basically a Romantic Comedy set around Christmas time, about a group of peoples love lives. This film makes you just feel all warm and fuzzy inside ... deffo worth the watch!

So there you go ... my top 5 favourite Christmas Films. Although all these films get me exited for Christmas ... nothing gets me more in the spirit, than watching the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special throughout December. Actually I'm lying ... I watch the Christmas Special throughout the year. It just never gets old!
